Hudson & Calleja started off 2020 with a bang! The firm won back to back defense verdicts for our client, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, in two hard-fought residential property insurance claims. On January 9, 2020, the trial team of Rob Hudson and Alexis Calleja won a verdict for Citizens in a complex plumbing claim in Miami-Dade County. The next week, on January 17, 2020, the trial team of Rob Hudson and Brianna Kipp won a verdict for Citizens in Broward County in a unique case regarding whether Citizens property notified its insureds of a change in policy terms back in 2013. The age and complexity of that case made in particularly challenging but the jury agreed that Citizens had properly followed Florida requirements in notifying its insureds of this policy language change and returned a verdict in our favor.
